Introduction

It's a "book club" for devoted readers of The New Yorker magazine.

Based in Santa Monica, TalkTNY, the New Yorker magazine reading group, gathers at a cafe or coffee shop to talk about recent articles and cartoons in the magazine. We usually choose between 8 and 12 pieces for discussion.

Meetings are held every other week, usually on Wednesday evenings.

"Week after week, The New Yorker offers its community of dedicated readers a unique perspective on current ideas and evolving issues: one that combines humor and intelligence with depth and style. Readers come to its pages to laugh, to be informed, to be surprised, to be moved."

To learn more or attend one of our meetings, email us: TalkTNY at gmail dot com.
